  • Bienvenue!

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Lyndsay!

I am a full on geeky girl with three nerdy post-secondary degrees that I heart PLUS I have a for-serious passion for photography. The things I love in this life the most include my husband, Adam, our cat, Princess, psychology, sunshine, travel, reading, earl gray tea, and poutine. Yes, poutine. When I 'm not shooting weddings and portraits, I'm often spending time with Adam, teaching at a local college, or curled up reading a novel somewhere.

I fell in love with photography a few years ago (taking pictures with my yee ol' point and shoot). After a lot of thinking about the things I love, and being completely inspired by incredible photographers, I decided to give my dreams the attention they deserve. And I did just that. This is the official third year of my business and I couldn't be more thrilled!

My biggest supporter is my main squeeze - Adam. You might meet him on a shoot or on the blog where I spill the beans on our life together. He's an amazing husband who big time helps with this little adventure I like to call Lyndsay London Photography... and the even BIGGER adventure that I call LIFE!

With that said, if our paths should cross - and I hope they do - I am determined to take photographs that you will absolutely love for a lifetime and... well, even have some fun together while taking them.

Hope you enjoy the adventure with me!

UBC Engagement Session – Ella and Chris

October 5, 2010 Posted in Engagements

Ella and Chris. They met over 5 years ago at a little place called UBC. Heard of it? At the time that they started at UBC both Ella and Chris lived in Residence. You can probably guess that they met and fell in love :). After a while, they both went on to work at the university and then they both made a move to SFU for work. Ella has now returned to UBC where she is busy travelling across the country for her job – while Chris has stuck around the SFU campus to hang out with me ;).

Just to demonstrate what a stalker I am, I sometimes see Chris working away at his desk as I rush off to teach a class (days when I am not a photographer we work in the same building at SFU). What I like about Chris is that he is always looking happy while he works. Pretty much always smiling. He doesn’t know that I know that… What I like about Ella is she’s always smiling too. So not only do they have great smiles that they use often, they both have similar work interests. Match made in heaven, or what??

It’s funny because now Chris actually works in the position my husband once worked in at SFU. I just realized that now… (it’s the blonde in me). Anyways, I hadn’t met Chris and Ella before, but SFU is a small world so I knew of them both. I was totally surprised when Ella emailed me about their December 2010 wedding. I am really happy she did and I can’t wait for their winter wedding in Vancouver.

Boda bing boda boom – Here are Ella and Chris engaged and photographed!!! See the slideshow link at the bottom of the image set – the song is a homage to Ella’s busy travel schedule..
