Check out Jon & Melissa’s photo session! They were the lucky winning couple of the ‘all things crazy photo session contest’ I ran back in January. Jon and Mel had well over 200 votes which granted them first place in the ultimate zane contest. You can see the second place winners (who were a very close second) here.
Melissa was so set on winning the shoot that she must have emailed me about 20 times trying to sniff out any loopholes to nab more votes. It’s one thing I love about her. So determined! In the end, she worked so hard that no special votes or loopholes were needed to win.
I met Melissa and Jon first when we had coffee last year to discuss their wedding. Jon and Melissa had their beautiful wedding in Oyama BC (a quaint little spot on a small lake in the Okanagan) in September and I seriously had so much fun photographing it. I have really been looking forward to doing it all over again… Minus the copious amounts of rain, that is. Wow was that a wet wedding or what? Thankfully the contest session took place on one of the first real sunny days this year. Better late than never I say :).
I can honestly say that Jon and Mel worked pretty hard on the shoot. I had them climbing and jumping on all sorts of things. Adam suggested charging a fee for bystanders watching the triathlon which included jumping, climbing, and running. Certainly, the end results are nothing short of interesting… Thanks Jon and Mel for being so fantastic and bringing your super powers to the party. You are the best!!!
