Julie & Jae‘s wedding took place last Saturday morning at The Teahouse in Stanley Park. My favorite wedding reception venue in Vancouver! It was a cool October day – and while the sky was filled with clouds, there was not a drop of rain to be seen.
Julie got ready for her wedding day with her mother and sister at the Cherry Beauty Salon in Vancouver. Julie glowed all morning as she patiently waited for all of the final touches to fall into place. Julie wore a strapless silk gown with a pick-up skirt and modest train. She opted for minimalist jewelry and a soft up-do for her hair.
The soft pink and vintage inspired bouquet and wedding flowers were crafted by Janice at Precious Pear. Julie was so over the moon with her bouquet and I agree it was one of the prettiest I have seen all year.
Julie and Jae opted for a first look. Jae’s reaction was the best I have seen. So thrilled to see Julie for the first time! We shot the wedding portraits around the Fish House Restaurant in Stanley Park. The Manager of the restaurant kindly greeted Julie and Jae with celebratory mimosas.
The outdoor wedding ceremony took place under the white canopy tent. Julie & Jae handmade the programs and Julie provided each guest with baby blue fleece blankets as favors to keep warm. The full ceremony was held in Korean. It was the most beautiful ceremony I have attended all year.
After a few family photos, a lunch reception was held inside the Tea House. Guests prayed, ate amazing meals, enjoyed musical performances (one by Jae – singing Close to You), and listened to heartfelt speeches.
Feel free to relive the day by checking out the slideshow here.
Congrats Julie & Jae. Thank you so much for having me be a part of your most wonderful wedding day!
