Stephanie & Tyler met at a mutual friend’s birthday. Tyler offered to drive Stephanie and another friend home, and on the way, Stephanie asked him if he wanted to come to a concert with her that night. Tyler accepted and they had their first date that night. After the concert Stephanie took the bus home to North Vancouver and while she was on the bus, Tyler phoned and stayed on the line with her, making sure she got home safely. What a guy. Stephanie knew from that moment on that this was the start of something big.
Stephanie & Tyler have been together just over 6 years. When Tyler proposed it was a complete surprise to Stephanie! They had planned a 3 day backpacking trip through Garibaldi Provincial Park for the last weekend in August of last year. Tyler had planned to propose at the top of Panorama Ridge on the second day, but Stephanie was struggling traveling over some snow patches to get to the top. Eventually, they turned around about 20 meters from the top where Tyler had planned to propose. Fortunately, on the last day of the hike, they made their way up to the top of Mt. Price. When they finally got to the top Tyler told Stephanie what a great trip he thought it had been and he said that he wanted to do this with her forever. Tyler then pulled out the ring from his pocked boxed and wrapped in a Ziploc for safe keeping), got down on one knee and asked Stephanie to marry him. Stephanie says she cried a lot, but eventually managed to nod yes. Such a great story.
I really enjoyed this session with Stephanie and Tyler. They really love each other and are both totally wonderful people. I can’t wait for their Vancouver wedding this October!
