Melissa & Peter | North Delta Wedding

Melissa and Peter found their way into my life last summer when Melissa emailed me about wedding photography. We had met before at events and such, but I had no idea that Melissa would become as near and dear to me as she has. Melissa is a wonderful person and has found herself an equal match in Peter. Each interaction I have had with them has been an absolute pleasure. The people that they have collected in thier lives that arrived on April 30th to celebrate their wedding day are equally brilliant, amazing and charming. It makes perfect sense that their friends and family would be as wonderful as Melissa and Peter are. Needless to say, I am overjoyed that I had the pleasure of spending their wedding day with them as their photographer.

Peter and Melissa went to the same senior secondary school in Delta, where they met… once. This meeting consisted of Peter lending Melissa a pencil at a grad committee meeting in a very huffy manner. Melissa was not impressed. Little did she realize, a list of essential qualities in a mate she had written as a 13 year old girl would eventually find its fulfillment in Peter (along with a few extra qualities like grumpily handing over writing implements)…

Thankfully, Peter had a chance to redeem himself later when they both enrolled in SFU’s business program with a mutual friend. Thanks to a shared friend and many shared classes, they were able to come to appreciate and yes, even love, one another. Peter, for his brilliance and his charming (albeit fake) British accent; Melissa, for no-nonsense attitude and tendency to make a mess no matter what she is doing or how careful she is being.

Well done!

LOVE the yellow line running under the wedding party with their yellow accents.
LOVE the Kanye glasses.
So many others that are exquisite. They both do silly, sexy, and serious so well! Very romantic, too.

Question: Is Melissa related to the Schellenbergs that used to attend Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond?
