Langley Golf Center Wedding | Rob & Chelsey

On September 19th 2009, Chelsey and Rob headed into downtown Vancouver with plans to meet up with some friends… Or so Chelsey thought. Rob actually had something completely different in mind.  Unknown to Chelsey, they arrived slightly early so Rob suggested that they stop in at his adorable Grandma’s apartment as they often do when in the West End. The sun had just broken through the clouds so he slyly suggested we go for a walk along the Sea Wall. They walked down to the Silvia Hotel and back. With each step Rob built up the courage until they arrived at the foot of a willow tree at the top of a hill overlooking the ocean. He turned to Chelsey, gave her a kiss and told her he loved her. He then dropped to one knee. The words “Will you marry me?” stumbled out of his mouth… and after a couple of the longest seconds of his life, she said Yes!

On this day, July 9, 2011, she said yes again. Rob and Chelsey were married at the beautiful Langley Golf Center. The day was filled with warm sunshine, lots of laughs and lovely family and friends on site to celebrate. We started the day with getting ready shots at Chelsey’s amazing family home. The day was so beautiful Chelsey was even convinced to get ready in the quaint and lovely back yard. Once dressed, and looking nothing short of drop dead gorgeous, we brought Rob in for a first look. Perfecto. Next up we headed on a party bus to beautiful Fort Langley where we roamed the streets looking for vibrant locations to shoot. The ceremony took place at the grounds of the Langley Golf Center and the reception followed shortly after a few family photos and a few more portraits. It was a perfect day. Feel free to feel the wedding day slidshow here.

Thank you Chelsey and Rob for believing in me and trusting me with your wedding photos. As many of you know, Rob and Chelsey were the first wedding clients I officially booked and this gave me the confidence to start running… I haven’t looked back, and I haven’t stopped yet.

The first look! Love the expressions!

We went to Fort Langley for the PortraitsWho says you can’t shoot at noon in full sun? Not I!I loved the colour of the dresses!

Rob is a very funny guy with a great laugh! Thanks Rob for being so awesome about participating in all of my crackpot sounding ideas!Chelsey made sure to have nice sandals on hand for walking about and saving her feet! The night before the wedding I was lying in bed thinking about this moment. Hoping the guys would be as cool as they were.

They were cooler.Oh man, it felt like Mexcio in this alley. That’s where Rob and Chelsey are right now. I’m not jealous. I swear…A cute little shop owner loved having us shoot near her antique store. She couldn’t get over Chelsey’s lovely-ness.

And now time for the ceremony…

I can never resist more portraits…

Bahhh Chelsey! I’m dying over here! So gorg!
