Maggie & Haydex’s afternoon wedding took place at the gorgeous University Women’s Club (a.k.a. Hycroft Manor). We began the day at UBC farm for the wedding portraits.
The day promised full sun – something Maggie had been praying for all week. Maggie has been sharing her wedding dreams with me since the very first email she send me back in 2012. We’ve spent hours writing emails back and forth. She dreamed of a green rustic backdrops, vintage fresh flair, a gorgeous headpiece and a flowing Pronovias gown. She dreamed of fresh flowers, populated with baby pinks and lace trimmings.
The tea ceremony was held after a quick dress change at Hycroft. Both of Maggie’s dresses were stunning! Family and friends gathered to share with Maggie & Haydex their best wishes. Maggie had tear in her eyes – you could tell how blessed she felt in those moments on her wedding day.
The ceremony was held on the lawn followed by a beautiful reception on the outdoor patio space at Hycroft. Haydex was tearful as he looked into his beautiful bride’s eyes. Maggie sweetly gave the first toast before dinner, stating with a shy laugh that she was unsure if she should be toasting to herself (the bride) and her love, Haydex (the groom).
I have nothing but love for Maggie and Haydex. As we said goodbye I was feeling a bit teary eyed. Maggie is easily the most loving, beautiful person and I will miss working with her and Haydex. Congrats to you both, may Europe treat you well!
