Michael & Larisa first met in 2007 at a mutual friend house party. After some back and forth trying to find an opportunity to connect they final had a first date that included dinner and a movie (Bee Movie). The funny thing is, both Michael and Larisa were hesitant to attend the party that led to their first meeting due to work commitments and general busyness. But Michael says that something just drew him there. As Larisa highlighted, it’s hard to say if fate played a hand in their meeting.
This spring, Michael proposed to Larisa in Paris at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Larisa had a sense that the day would come soon but was completely caught off guard when Michael dropped to one knee and asked him to marry her. Michael says a crowd gathered to watch and applaud while a fellow tourist snapped some photos for Michael with Michael’s camera as he proposed! They celebrated with a glass of champaign before leaving the tower and Larisa wore her gorgeous engagement ring that was two sizes too big all across Europe to keep it safe.
This weekend we shot their engagement session in Fort Langley. The trees have turned red and the leaves have started to fall. But the day was sunny as can be and after shooting lots of cozy, lovey-dovey shots, we played around in the Fort for something a little more silly. I love the variety and the results. Larisa and Michael were really up for anything My kind of people.
Thanks to you two for a fun day! I can’t wait for your 2012 wedding! I think it is going to be amazing!!
