Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver Wedding

Judy and Dominique were married this past Saturday at The Chapel in Stanley Park. Judy and Dominique wanted a simple yet elegant wedding where close friends and family could gather for an afternoon of speeches, good food, and fun. Judy envisioned deep red roses for her December Vancouver wedding, paired with accents of whites and ivories.

The morning started with getting ready photos at the Sutton Place hotel in Vancouver. It was still dark outside when I arrived but Judy, her bridesmaid Terra, and Jayna Marie (the lovely hair and make-up artist) were lively as they had already been up for hours. Terra and Judy shared with me that they had been up chatting since 3:30 am. Judy was literally bursting with excitement. After some shots of the girls and the details, Mehrshid, of Sunflower Florist, arrived with a bouquet of fresh red roses. The wedding flowers were just beautiful. Next, I hurried upstairs to grab a few shots of Dominique getting ready with his brother and best man, Joseph.

The ceremony was held bright and early at 10:00am. Allan, the officiant, had guests laughing at the intimate wedding ceremony and Judy and Dominique looked at each other while they said their vows like two seriously smitten teenagers. After the ceremony the bridal party and I took photos in Stanley Park. It was rather chilly – with the temperature hovering around 1 degree that morning. But, you really can’t tell how cold it felt because everyone was a total trooper and made the choice to have fun and enjoy the portraits. Judy and Dominique were totally relaxed together and made the portraits a breeze!

The wedding reception took place at the Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver. In a cozy private room, decorated with roses, beautiful speeches were given and a brilliant lunch was served. Judy and Dominique shared their thanks and encouraged guests to enjoy the photobooth on site. It was a lovely afternoon.

Judy and Dominique have already departed for their Hawaiian honeymoon. I hope you are both enjoying warm sunshine and sandy beaches during your first week as husband and wife. You are truly lovely people and fully deserve a nice getaway. Thank you for having Adam and I document your wedding day. It was such a pleasure to work with you and we wish you tremendous love, health and happiness in your new lives together!

Brix Vancouver Wedding | Stephanie & Tyler

Stephanie and Tyler’s October wedding day took place at Brix Restaurant in Yaletown. We started the day with some getting ready photos at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Stephanie’s mom, brother and best friend, Katelyn, helped Stephanie to organize her finishing touches on her look. Stephanie wore a beautiful lace wedding gown in Ivory – the dress was so complimentary to her hair and accessories. A few nights before, her grandmother decorated Stephanie’s hands in beautiful henna. Stephanie looked so gorgeous.

We met Tyler at Brix for a first look. I love the moment that he first saw Stephanie. Priceless. The wedding party then moved to Roundhouse and then near David Lam Park in Yaletown for some portraits. The day was cold but totally dry and by the end of the portraits the sun even came out! I call that a huge success for a late October wedding!!

The ceremony was lovely with sweet poetry that was read and plenty of laughs and even a few tears. After the ceremony, Stephanie and Tyler shared a few private moments hugging, laughing and crying outside the venue. Once the celebration began, Stephanie & Tyler treated their geusts to a cocktail hour and an intimate reception that was lit with candles and an amazing meal was served. It was a wonderful evening.

Thank you to Stephanie, Tyler, and your friends and family for welcoming Adam and I. It was fabulous to celebrate with you! Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon! Be sure to visit the slide show of the wedding day!
