Winnie & Hector’s engagement session knocked my Toms off with their DIY Lemonade Stand.
Winnie wanted to do the lemonade theme engagement session because of a youtube video of the Duck Song she and Hector watched one night while hanging out at home. It was a funny song (maybe a bit silly) but it was cute and so, Winnie made the lemonade stand for her photos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtN1YnoL46Q. Winnie warns that it’s a pretty over the top song so not everyone can handle it!
Winnie bought the table at Ikea and spray painted it white. She got the white wooden sticks from Rona for the sides. The crafty decorations are mostly from Michael’s, Daiso, Home Sense and Winners. She will use it again for the wedding this summer!
Winnie & Hector met at work. When Hector introduced himself to Winnie, she didn’t even pay attention and admittedly forgot his name! They started to get to know each other better when they discovered their shared love for online games (stay tuned for Part II of this engagement session coming soon to the blog). After playing together online and working together they started dating! Winnie calls it geeky – I call it perfect!
Winnie & Hector have been together for 4 years now and he proposed to Winnie last September. I can’t wait to shoot their UBC Boathouse Wedding in Vancouver this July!
