Finally, Part II of Winnie & Hector’s adorable engagement session at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby.
Winnie says the story of how Hector proposed is quite embarrassing! I figure I ought to share it.
The day it happened, Hector got off work earlier than Winnie. Winnie wanted to go home earlier as well so she could leave with him, but he wouldn’t agree to it. She says she was not impressed being stuck at work, counting down the minutes before she too could go home to be with him. Hector finally picked her up when her shift finished and they headed home. The first thing Winnie did when she got in the house, was to head to her room to change out of her work clothes. In the room, she was surprised to see a bouquet of roses! Winnie thought of how nice they were, but nothing else of it. Then a moment later, Hector came in the room and said “you said your friends always gets flowers so there stop complaining!” Well, Winnie was still in the process of changing so she wasn’t looking at Hector who was down on one knee, Winnie says she was shocked to turn around and see him kneeling there, asking her to marry him! She recalls that she didn’t know if she should continue to change or put her work uniform back on! After laughing and giggling… a lot, Winnie said YES!
Winnie says their story is not the most romantic but it is realistic and it is perfect for them.
