Vancouver Wedding Photographer: Lyndsay London

Erik and Smita met just over a year ago. And, well, it didn’t take them long to know that they were meant to be together. Erik is studying in the States and Smita teaches here in Vancouver. So they have also travelled for miles and crossed borders each weekend just to be near one another.

This summer, Erik proposed by arranging to have Smita’s home staged with 74 candles, chocolates, wine, and rose petals everywhere! Hello romantic! Smita said YES!

Next year, they will celebrate their wedding ceremony and reception at Hart House in Deer Lake Park – such a beautiful venue and I can’t wait to shoot there. We opted to have their engagement session here in the park as well because Smita and Erik both love the natural feel that the park offers. Simple and beautiful. Thanks nature. The day we took the photos was filled with incredible sunshine. It almost shone as bright as Smita & Erik.

Smita and Erik were so loving and so wonderful to spend the day with. They have been so warm and awesome in every interaction with me we greeted each other with huge hugs and as I drove away I caught myself smiling at the people in the cars next to me… just a bit awkward. I am so excited to work with them this year and get to know them more and more!

Finally, my favorite thing about the photos is that I think you can really tell just how in love they are by looking at them. They both just grinned ear to ear all afternoon like two kids in a candy store. It was awesome. Possum.

These two are just lovely. I’m so fortunate to have so many amazing couples, like Smita & Erik, in my life. They really really reallly love eachother!
