Family Photos at My Place | Laura, Rob and Cohen

Laura and Rob came by our place for some family photos last weekend. Be sure to check out their maternity photos – they are probably my favorite maternity images I have shot. Baby Cohen had a decent cold so we opted to stay inside and shoot in my living room. I think it worked out pretty favorable, baby cold and all. Cohen is a happy baby and even having a yucky cold barely fazed him. I’m so happy for Laura, Rob and Cohen. They are an awesome family and I can’t wait to watch Cohen grow :).

Love Lyndsay

Laura’s make-up was done by the lovely Sarah Parkes :)

Westwood Plateau Wedding | Tara & Joey

Tara & Joey’s wedding took place on a sunny September afternoon at the Westwood Plateau. The wedding ceremony was held on the lovely grounds of the golf course and was filled with music by Warren Nipp (who played at my very own wedding) and lots of laughs and joy. Family and friends seemed so excited to gather to watch Joey and Tara become husband and wife and they happily blew bubbles at the couple as they shared a kiss and walked back down the isle as newlyweds.

We took the wedding portraits on site and were supported by awesome staff who trucked us around the golf course in party sized golf carts. The bridal party was fun and easy going and we all enjoyed a few laughs along the way. Not to mention, they were pretty easy on the eyes! Thanks to my second shooter, Shanna, for helping to capture the group throughout the day!

As you can see, the wedding colours were a rich and deep purple and a contrasty silver that added some pop. Classy stuff. The reception was filled with awesome speeches by best friends and family, as well as adorable slideshows that showed off Tara and Joey’s amazing personalities. Guests rocked it out on the dance floor with music by the super nice Ashley at Hot Wax. We (Adam and I) threw a killer wedding photobooth as the evening went on. You can check out some of those epic gems here.

Special thanks to all that helped make this wedding day so special for Tara and Joey, including planner Nicole Miller of Sweet Beginnings (who was instrumental in organizing my wedding in 2009!). Please be sure to check out all the other vendors at the end of the post. And my biggest thanks go to Joey, Tara and their family and friends who were so welcoming and so wonderful to work with!!!

New Westminster Engagement | Justyna & Steve

I’m super excited to share this session. Justyna & Steve are getting married next June and opted for a summer engagement session with an urban downtown feel. (Probably to show off their amazing tans! I’m not even jealous at all!) We met for their engagement session in New Westminster earlier this month and it was a wonderful and sunny day.

Justyna and Steve actually found me through their lovely friend and fellow Vancouver wedding and portrait photographer, Rebecca Sehn. I’ve always been a big fan of Rebecca, so her referral to her good friends really meant a lot. Rebecca will actually MC their wedding, so that should be just awesome! She’s going to be amazing! Justyna & Steve also had some early engagement photos this summer with Rebecca! Make sure to check them out here.

Thanks Steve & Justyna for an awesome afternoon in the sun! You two are ridiculously nice, funny, and of course, good looking. Adam and I think you are just awesome!

Also a great jumper :)!Justyna’s ring is custom made and the necklace is made from pieces of amber that her grandfather found in a river in Poland. Amazing.
