Crescent Beach Engagement | Rob & Chelsey Sneak Peek

Just a peak at an engagement session I am working on. This is Rob and Chelsey. The first awesome couple to officially book their wedding with me last year in January!!! I’m so glad they did :). The wedding is fast approaching! Just two weeks to go now! Wow! They are great people and I look forward to celebrating their nuptials with them!

Langley Engagement | Julie & Jae Part I

Welcome to part one of Julie & Jae’s engagement session!

Julie & Jae first met in 2003 volunteering at a conference. They were both volunteering in the band – Jae was on the drums and Julie was one of the singers. Like so many love stories, they didn’t get to know each other all that well at that time. However, fast forward to 2006, when Julie was in her second year at UBC and Jae was at music school in LA. On a whim, Julie decided to volunteer again for the same conference from 2003, and guess who she met in the band again?? Jae! This time they became much closer friends during the three day conference.

Later that spring Jae had plans to go to Japan for a few months. As fate would have it, Julie and one of her friends also had booked a trip to Japan at the same time! So, it’s a no brainer that they decided to meet up in Japan. They travelled together and eventually started dating.

Julie and Jae started planning their engagement shoot months ago. We all agreed to wait until a sunny day and shoot at sunset to get the right feel for the session. Julie wanted warm and golden sunshine for her vintage inspired engagement. And that is exactly what we got! Julie hand made many of the items she brought for the session including the banner and her picnic blanket. They also brought to their summery engagement vintage cameras, a guitar, books, and colourful balloons!! Talk about a photographers dream come true. I just LVOE you two!! Adam and I were so inspired by Julie & Jae’s efforts, that we arrived early to the meadow and made a cute bouquet for Julie with snowball tree flowers and the purple ribbon we had purchased earlier in the day. It was so much fun.

Excitingly, this session was also featured on Bowties and Bliss literally 2 or 3 days after we shot it! No joke. Talk about fresh off the press! Is that the expression! Hmm… Anyways, it was really cool to have it picked-up and featured so quickly. I love that. Thank you, Becky!

I will be posting part two of the session next week. Dare I say it’s my favourite of the two parts? I dare! Be sure to come back and check it out :).
