Tracy and Tony’s wedding was one of the most love filled weddings I’ve yet had the pleasure to be a part of. They are so oozing with love for each other that it is quite clear this marriage and this wedding day was meant to be. When Tracy contacted me a few months ago she happily exclaimed that she was getting married to Tony – the man she was meant to spend the rest of her life with. You should have heard her voice on the phone. It was so authentic, I couldn’t help but feel like I was bursting inside with joy for her. She heartfeltly expressed that she just loved Christmas and wanted to have a simple and family based wedding at her sister, Karyn’s, home in Maple Ridge right before Christmas time. I was honored that Tracy contacted me. I was over the moon thrilled to hear from Tracy that Jesscia Zais gave her my contact info. What? Are you kidding me right now? If you read my blog, you know I love Jessica and her work to death. She is just simply amazing and outrageously talented.
The wedding day was quite magical. Big smiles and lots of love was felt all around. Tracy looked incredible – can you believe that she did her own hair and make-up! Yep! Okay – I will say it – the weather was just awful (worst I’ve ever had), but it didn’t seem to bother Tracy and Tony. Nope. No big deal if it is freezing and raining cats and dogs – Their love was all that counted on Saturday. So we started with their portraits in the yard (neither Tony nor Tracy minded the cold and I just love how relaxed they were about it), grabbed a few family shots, had some snacks and wine, and then things rolled into the ceremony. The ceremony was but five minutes long with family gathered in the living room by the fire place. Tony provided the commissioner, Anne, with the beautiful words to be read. Then, Tony surprised Tracy with a gorgeous wedding band and she almost fell over with surprise! After the ceremony we took a few quick candids, and the family made their way to a nice dinner out on the town. Au revoir!
Congrats Tony and Tracy! Wishing you all the best. Thank you for having Adam and I along to share your most amazing day.

This is probably my favorite shot of the day. Equals. Love.

The guys always got the shot within two frames. So we could play around a bit.

Uhh.. did I mention I love to shoot couples???

I love Sarah’s complexion. I could take pictures of her lovely skin all day. Creepy, right? Yep.
The sun was reflecting off the building behind us onto their faces warming them up!

Last week, the pond here was so frozen it used for skating. Brrrr….
Today I loved winter.
