Summer

These are the water -type shots from the weekend. Some are at the beach (looking for sea-stars and other high end treasures) and there are some at the river too.

The weather was soooo undecided about what it wanted to do! Rain, clouds, sun… Oy! Welcome to Vancouver island?

Adam and I traded the camera back and forth a bit. I took the ones I’m not in and he took the others (because I’m in them… so I guess that’s obvious?) It was actually kinda strange having my picture taken! Lol! But it’s good, I like to be in my clients’ shoes and understand/remind myself again what they are feeling when the camera is all up in their grill (is that how you spell that?).

Oh my gosh though, it was such a fun weekend. Felt like being a kid again! I like that.

Ruby went for a swim even thought the sun was no where in sight. I admit the water was pretty nice. But now that I’m old and frail I have low cold tolerance.

Cousins!! (A little over exposed, but I don’t think Plain Gramma will mind).

Me and Ruby Soho.

Mix it up a little. This is my “go to” silly face.

I usually have a nice big aperture (little number). But this one I made it itty bitty (big number) for playing around. I know, if you are scratching your head, don’t worry about it. Hello confusing ;).

I just noticed the crab in this shot! I initially liked how Ruby was looking away and the wind was kicking up her hair.

These sea stars were everywhere! Holy moly! I couldn’t believe how many there were sun-bathing.

A’s toes. I think he needs a man pedi.

Some blown out clouds, but I like the little sun star and don’t feel an urge to make my personal family pics perfect.

Holidays

My weekend in photos… feels like summer is coming to an end (I know, how dare I even suggest that!), but  Adam and I managed to sneak away for the weekend to see our friends, Rachelle and Jeff, on the island, and then our little cousin Ruby and her mom, Dawn.

Ruby is pretty much the best model and cousin ever because she does just about everything I ask with a smile. Not a single complaint like, “Well, Lyndsay, I don’t know, I might get a little dirty if I sit there…” Not that any of my clients do that. People that don’t like to have fun, don’t book with me. So it’s not a problem.

While I was grabbing a shot of Ruby with a bouquet that we made, I was demonstrating where to stand and a GIANT, 2 foot, fat, black snake slithered across my bare foot! I just about died, screaming super loud, and as I turned to escape, I whacked Ruby in the torso by accident. Sorry Ruby! She screamed too and then proceeded to laugh at me.

This post is fully stacked with photos of the adorable Ruby Soho, and the less cute, Me!

Ruby and some kids were picking blackberries and I snagged this shot when she wasn’t looking. The dress was made by Caitlyn (Adam’s mom and Ruby’s Aunt). It’s reversible – this is the “evil” side and the other is the “good” side.

TThe lone sunflower that lives in the empty lot near Ruby and Dawn’s home.

Mini photo shoot in the Remax Parking lot while we waited for directions to meet everyone for lunch.

Black and white….

Or colour???

This is the bouquet and snake scene…It’s so pretty!
Some neat trees in someone’s yard that we had to sneak into!Me and my guy A-Shift. That’s his Wii name. Mine’s L-Cat. I like cats. Okay?Ruby and Dawn.Next up… The forrest behind Dawn and Ruby’s place.

Surrey Wedding Photography | Pravic & Michelle

I’ve moved to a new URL! Hope you found me okay :).

I wanted to wait until the move was completed before posting Michelle and Pravic’s super fun wedding reception! It was a huge party with some 350 ++ guests at the venue – which is located in Surrey! No joke! 350 ++.

The evening started with some awesome Chinese Dragon Dancing, followed by B-Boys, and some traditional indian dance by a darling family member of Pravic’s (and now Michelle’s) who is too cute and awwwesssooommmeee (as my little Niece Ruby would say). The dance floor was crazy with lazy lights and smoke and a lot of people, having a lot of fun.

Oh did I mention that Michelle did a costume change into some traditional Indian bridal wear. She looked like a total princess!! Adam was like: “Whoa!!! She’s a Princess!!!” I was like (think Monica from friends): “I KNOW!!!”

Uh-maz-ing Wedding M & P!!! Wow!
