Spring!

I love sunshine. I love my husband. I love my home and I love the things and people in my life. This post is all about little things to love…

These shots are from the last few days out and about enjoying the springtime sun :).

The flowers and foliage shots are from Caitlyn’s garden (Adam’s Mom).

Our balcony is home to a whole lot of these giant webs and their builders – not pictured. Thank goodness they stay out of sight in the daytime. Big time – they creep me out.

A branch from the tree that was left behind when we moved in.

Working on achieving sun flare…

Caitlyn’s Garden Accessories.

Our Brodie. Sweetest little guy.

Good timing. The Bee landed on the flower as I was taking the shot.

And this guy or gal is from our walk at Burnaby Lake.

Coquitlam Family Portraits

Ready for one crazy beautiful sunny afternoon and one lovely back yard with a superior climbing tree? I am.

This shoot had out of this world incredible warm and yummy sunshine – the kind of photography days I dream about having in Vanocuver. Well today my dreams came true. Filled with lots of families and children to photograph – it was all pretty sweet.

All of the guests were so lovely and friendly and it was super delightful getting to know everyone and how they are all connected. I have the nicest clients that are totally relaxed and committed to participating in having fabulous photos! Lucky. Me.

Awww! Love this one. It’s so authentic.

Some walking practice was happening stage left…

Not bad, eh?

Bring on the littlest ones!

The plan here is to just consume the icing. Good plan.

I am so crazy about this blanket and this smile! Perfect.

Just a little ol’ flower in the backyard looking all fine.

Don’t forget the other four legged family member…

North Vancouver Portraits – Carla and Tanya

This will be a two part post because a) I love how fun it is and b) because it’s my website and I can. Love that. Full creative control baby!

Well, you wouldn’t know by looking at Carla and Tanya that it was full on pouring buckets during this shoot and closing in on nightfall. But trust me it was! I think this was the wettest day we’ve had in Vancouver for weeks! Thank goodness for bright umbrellas and our coordinated efforts to drop them on the on the count of three. Also a big huge gigantic massive thanks to Adam, who assisted by packing all of our gear and holding the unbrella over me – preventing me from getting big ol’ blops of water in my eyes and on my lens. Ick.

Well Carla and Tanya – they are sisters by the way and this shoot was for their mom – cracked me up the whole time with their joking and hilarious posing at the end. They are absolutely delightful to work with and if you haven’t yet noticed totally gorgeous. It’s pretty friggen hard to take a bad picture of these two.

In the end, we were all totally soaked from the rain but it felt a-okay because of the awesome time it was. This is Vancouver after all – I guess it shouldn’t come as some kind of shocker that it rained. Lol

Well here is part one… see you again for part two :).

Okay here we go – first shot of the night… One, two, threeeeeeeeee….

I tripple heart shoes!

These colours are so 80′s awesome. I am a child of the 80′s so I can’t resist.

Great laughs and amazing smiles!

Aren’t they so lovely!

I love jumping pics!

I know Carla asked for non-cheese baked photos… but these are classic and I think represents them pretty well. Light hearted. Fun. And always a good time to be around.
